One of our favorite places to go on a whim is St. George. My grandparents have had a house down there for a long time and we've always loved going there. My parents recently decided to buy a house down there just a couple minutes away from my Grandparents. I loved going down to see it this last week!
I drove down Sunday with my parents and everyone else, but Josh (sigh), joined us on Thursday. Josh wasn't able to make it down because of work. We hate leaving without him but appreciate all that he does for our family and love how happy it makes him to see us having fun.
Luckily when I miss Josh I just look at Luella and see the same face lol (just prettier)
She was enjoying playing around at Even Stevens...
Every morning she would look out the window and say, "ball". She loves the miniature golf set up in the backyard.
Everyone finally joined up with us! This picture below makes me so happy. You've got Liv in the background doing a puzzle because its hard for her to relax ha, Isabelle who insists that Luella is somehow her child, Jensen always cracking a joke and then pulling the "i know I'm funny face", my brother in laws are hilarious and way laid back; always up for anything; dad is thoroughly enjoying that we are all together and my mom is relaxing; living the dream. I'm sure Josh was at home eating China Wok and playing with Rufus.
I love this family of mine
we need help....
These two...she loves her papa! He insisted on taking her hot tubbing even though it was freezing outside. I thought the hat might help.
Did some thrift shopping at Urban Renewal
This time we decided to take her to the clubhouse pool to keep her warm. She was in heaven and so was I until I saw a mother let her son drip his bloody nose into the hot tub. SICK
Happy/Sad New Years for Luella. She couldn't figure out how to blow the horn...Rough life
I was dying at how much she loved this massager we found at Target. Her eyes would roll in the back of her head.
SOLD
My family decided to go explore and Isabelle asked to stay back and watch Lu girl. It's like a have a million babysitters all the time.
Not quite sure whats going on here..
or here....
This view was unreal
I think its fair to say this girl is spoiled and smothered with love. #firstgrandchild
Being a mother is the best thing I could have ever imagined. Sometimes it doesn't seem real and its crazy to think that she is mine. I'm her MOM, what the heck! She'll look to me to guide and direct her throughout life. I don't know how I got so lucky but she brings a smile to my face everyday and is so special. Everyone that meets Lu says they have never met any child who is always happy; she says hi to everyone. Im grateful for the better person she makes me just by simply breathing.
Your daddy and i love you....
I was so excited that it snowed a ton where we live so I could take Luella out to play.

This picture is blurry and I have no make up but her smile here is worth a million bucks. Ew, I just wanna eat her.

Just wanted to eat the snow
Christmas morning we got to Skype Mitch man in Peru. Seeing his face made me so happy. I have been trying to show Luella pictures of Mitch so that when he gets home she knows who he is. I still can't believe they have never met. Mitchell is such a big part of our family. He has such a special spirit about him and is so much fun to be around. I miss him everyday and can't wait until he is home. Im so glad we were able to talk to him and that he is doing well.
Her face when she opened her first Christmas present was priceless...
On Christmas eve we all spent the night at my parents house. It was my little brothers request since he is the only one at home. My mom bought us all matching pajamas; never too old for that.
We played Heads up and watching these 4 on a team made me laugh. That game is so entertaining.
Like I said...never wants to sit still. I'm so lucky to have these two!
After we opened presents we went to my grandparents for German pancakes and hung out with my cousins. Later we went over to Josh's side for pizza and games. We then ended the night going to a movie with my family. It was a busy day but still remains the best day of the year!
Christmas Eve listening to a Christmas story or daydreaming about Santa. Everywhere we go she says, "HO, HO, HO"!
My family all went to NYC right before Christmas!
I'm still confused by this picture...I spy my tonsils
We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge
It was neat to see the new buildings they put in after the World Trade Center
He seriously is my better half
My sister signed a few of us that run in the family up for a 10k race through Central Park. I used to be way into running but after my marathon a few years ago my knees have never been the same. I have pretty much stopped running because of it but really wanted to run through Central Park with my fam. We woke up early and literally the air felt like it was below zero. I almost paid my dad to make us not run it. This is us waiting in the lobby before it started so we didn't freeze to death. Don't let that smile fool you; I was dreading every second.
This is a classic "Howard" moment. My dad told me that I shouldn't worry about not having enough endurance to get through the race. He said he would run with me and we could take it slow; even walk if needed. The race started and my dad and I were off to a good start, next thing ya know a few women run right passed us and my dad takes off. He literally can't stand when people run faster than him; especially women. Competitive much? geez
Well then... "see ya dad". So much for that. Luckily Will and I had each other to run with while my dad and Liv ran up ahead. We only finished 15 minutes or so after them.
None of us were sure whether the others were going to wake up and surprise us at the finish line. We finished and didn't see anyone so we took off to get a bagel and hot chocolate. Josh texted me asking how I did and I told him great. He then sent me this picture saying "Where are you?"
They showed up but they were 30 minutes late; hey at least they tried.
Most of my family are huge Ute fans; sad I know. My dad wanted all of us to come to NYC mainly for the Utah vs Duke basketball game. I think he expected me to be a good sport and cheer for the Utes but Josh and I were both cheering for Duke. I always thought that I would cheer for Utah as long as they weren't ever playing BYU; after all I was a Ute fan all growing up. I quickly realized after college that I just couldn't do it. Not only was I a Cougar fan but I just flat out didn't like the Utes period.
My dad told me Josh and I couldn't have dinner that night if we didn't start cheering for the Utes. Classic Howard comment; he knows how much food means to me.
I was so excited to see Luella! The day we got home we played and listened to Christmas music. Her favorite songs to dance to are Justin Bieber. Good taste! Her age right now is so fun. She dances anytime she hears music; is ALWAYS happy and so smart. She loves Elsa and spends a lot of time in her play room. She is yet to watch any TV or movies because she would rather play.
Treating her to Orange Peel before I leave her again to go to NYC. Yikes..

Loved having our friends over this year for the annual Christmas Party. We have a great group and I feel lucky that Joshs' friends wives all became my best friends.
This is my favorite picture below. I was cleaning and walked in her room to find her just like this.
(great posture lol) She loves to flip through books, which is funny because anytime I try to read to her she squirms out of my arms. We have yet to get through an entire book.
BUSY BODY

These two melt my heart. They are identical twins
The first time she has ever sat still for more than 3 minutes
I threw a white elephant party at my house with my girl cousins. It was the first time we have ever all gotten together without our mothers present. I guess they were bummed they weren't invited. I feel so lucky to have such close cousins.
Had a girls day with my two good friends Kaley and Lu. We made Christmas crafts with the kiddos!
So fun that Lu named her oldest daughter Eliza and my nickname for Luella is Lu!
I couldn't wait to get home to see Luella! Her new car seat arrived just in time. She didn't seem to know what to think.
She loves Rufus's cage. The first thing she does anytime we come home is walks over to his cage and opens it up for him. Rufus still isn't a huge fan of Luella but maybe one day he will be.
Josh and I went on a little vacation to Cancun this December. I felt bad leaving Luella twice in just 2 months, being that we were just in Cabo in October. Josh and I won the trip to Cabo from Domo. It was way fun and a sweet resort. After we got home Josh said that we should go to Cancun before the end of the year. I thought he was joking since we had just gotten back from Cabo but he was dead serious. Well, he didn't have to twist my arm, I love trips! I have had a pass on Southwest now for 2 years where anytime Josh flys with me, he flys free. We figured we would take advantage before it ended in December. We missed Luella a lot and I usually waited until Josh fell asleep to cry lol. Luckily she loves my parents and they love her.
A coke in each hand...why not!
I prefer two pina coladas...
and there goes the "don't you dare" look. haha
When it rains, why not sit in the jacuzzi? Josh literally was in there for 2 hours straight...
Each night the resort put on free entertainment. It was entertaining to say the least! I also want to mention that the sushi restaurant at our all inclusive resort was some of the BEST sushi I've ever had...still thinking about it now.
I was so excited to take a girls trip to St. George!

We went to a movie and ate at just about every restaurant throughout the weekend...
I'm grateful for Cougarettes and all the amazing friends I made. These friendships last a lifetime and they know me better than anyone else. Those memories were the best..

Taking family pictures was comical. We would give treats to Luella and Rufus to get them to cooperate. When one would look at the camera the other was looking away. Lets just say I was exhausted by the end.
