Summer activities

Luella is at such a fun stage. She understands everything that I tell her and surprisingly obeys for the most part. She throws her tantrums and definitely tries to see how far she can push the limit but for the most part she is a good girl. This picture below is her trying to steal my drink. Caught in action. Guilty!

Everyday Luella asks to call "Mimi". We have missed her this week because she decided to go to San Fran without us.

Getting a pass to Cowabunga bay was the best thing we ever did. Luella and I go there a few times a week. She absolutely loves it and has no fear of the water. She goes down the water slides all by herself and is a fish meant to be in water.

Everytime we go out in the yard to water or garden Lu insists on playing with the hose.

and trying to suck up water from the nozzle. gross....

This is after she got done running through the sprinklers...I can't believe how big she looks in the picture. She is no longer a baby.

I am lucky to have parents who insist on having Luella sleep over. This week my parents took Luella for the night and Josh and I spent the night going out for sushi, stopping at Smiths to get me chocolate, and watching a movie. The next morning we went to Kneaders for breakfast and took Rufus on a walk. Poor Rufus doesn't get out much anymore so we brought him along.

Josh loves Rufus so much he made sure the pavement wasn't too hot for him to walk on..I was dying laughing.

My dad took Lu on a morning jog and then sent me this picture. He thinks its ok to give her Diet Coke and he knows it drives me nuts. Her face shows she knows she's doing something she shouldn't or she realizes it isn't water. My dads face looks like a prison mugshot. He knows he is guilty.

Cowabunga...AGAIN. This time with the cousins!

These two cousins are only a few months apart. They wanted to be twins for the day!

Playing dress up at tj maxx

I guess you could say she has a slight obsession with balls...

She is my little best friend that looks nothing like me ha

Like I said we really like Cowabunga....

We walk the Draper trail a few mornings every week..Usually Courtney and Whitney come but today it was just the two of us.

Luella playing at the park. She does not hold still so this is the best action shot I could get.

Pulling out some dance moves....she is an attention hog

Swimming on a Saturday with the fam. Once she is in the water you can't get her out.

Her and dad jumping off the diving board.

These two having a moment...i wish he would scratch my back

Who wore it best?! haha I think Luella's water shoes docked her some serious points

Cousin shower for Lisa! She finally got her girl.

The 3 pregnant ladies. These baby cousins will be born in August, October and December!

Luella is helping us plant pick out flowers for our house. Too bad i've already killed a lot of them.

Lazy Sundays naked on the hammock. Why not?

Luella and Clara enjoying their ice cream!

Im so lucky to have so many girl cousins.

We took Luella to the South Jordan parade this year. Josh stayed home with the flu so we decided to let him get rest and I invited my parents and Isabelle of course joined the party.

She is waiting patiently for something worthwhile to happen...

South Jordan Pride lol.

She didn't let one piece of candy get past her. We made a haul!

Who wants a snow cone?! Luella does, aka mom does, but I'll just blame it on her.

It finally feels like Summer!

We went down to St. George for the Memorial weekend. Josh had to stay home and work. It was his turn to take a Holiday shift. I was free as always so my mom and I went down early and stayed a whole week. Later Jensen and my dad joined and then Olivia and Will! We spent my birthday going on a little hike. Lu decided she hated the hiking backpack so there we were. Carrying two children got exhausting quick.

This picture is priceless. Luella's red cheeks, tears, and my dads hat! ha so many things wrong.

A few weeks prior to this I put this puddle jumper life jacket on Luella for the first time. She had a complete meltdown and wanted nothing to do with it. She didn't even want to go in the water. This time we tried it again and she LOVED IT. She picked it up so fast.  I was shocked. She is a natural water baby! I couldn't get her out.

Took a 5 minute break for a much deserved treat...

Always wants to be with Papa...

Our idea of an afternoon snack!

This little rat found out how to get out of the backyard gate. She was pretty proud of herself.

I decided to let her just go for it. Ruined her outfit but she didn't seem to care. She clearly loved it!
By the way if you can't tell this is Arctic Circle; my dads favorite place to eat. I hadn't been there since I was 8 years old. I went and was reminded why I am never going back. So disappointed in you dad...Mcdonalds cheeseburgers blow theirs out of the water.

I need to frame this picture!

Im sad this picture is blurry. Lu kept following Josh while he mowed the lawn. He ended up carrying her the whole time while mowing. #spoiled

I love when I walk in and find her like this...she loves her books

Decided to do a swim day with my sisters. Luella spent most of the time jumping on the tramp.

Blowing kisses

Our friends Craig and Karrie just had another baby. Luella kept reaching to hold him. Guess she knows she needs to get her practice in.

She was all for petting the horse until he tried eating her treats and bow in her hair!

My friend and I decided to try out a Mommy work out class. It was their kick off event and was actually a lot of fun. Luella wasn't quite sure what was going on but seemed to enjoy herself.

We went on a little lunch date to Zupas. This was her first time not in a booster seat; she is growing up so fast. She thinks she's old enough to even show a little skin with that shoulder action she's got going on!
