Washington D.C.

I finally got to see D.C. for the first time. I traveled there for work and decided to stay the rest of the weekend to see the city. Josh flew out to meet me and we stayed with his aunt and uncle who live out there. I could not believe how gorgeous it was. The sites brought so much meaning and I learned more this weekend than all of high school. My questions about certain wars and icon figures probably worried Josh. ha I knew I should have paid more attention in school.

Major update

It's been a while since I have posted anything. I can't believe we are already at the end of May. Josh and I have been really busy the last couple of months. We are loving our new place and our new ward. We just got called as CTR 8 primary teachers. Should be entertaining! Our ward is on top of it. We love it though and feel very fortunate to be surrounded by so many great people.

I have traveling for work a lot and feel like I live on an airplane. One stop was in Denver for the Domo 20/20 Tour.
Next was Chicago for MES and a Tour event...

We enjoyed another road trip to St. George with our friends!

Our obsession with Swig sugar cookies got the best of us.

At work the theme was May the 4th (force) be with you. Getting creative I guess. I will take any day to celebrate a made up Holiday if it means dressing up and watching Star Trek during work.

Got to spend lunch with my family while Josh was out of town for work.

Josh is still loving his job and we both feel very fortunate to work in environments that we love. Josh has been busy doing Pharmacy part time and selling alarms here and there when he has free time. Josh also got a sweet opportunity to be the pharmacist to write curriculum in textbooks for an upcoming online college.

We love getting together with friends and are lucky we all live so close to each other. We had a BBQ the other night and it was bring your own meat. Josh brought me this lovely piece of meat and I shortly realized it was just for me to eat. He made another the same size for himself. I mean I know I eat a lot but REALLY?!
After we ate we roasted mallows by the fire
I am obviously the only one behind on the kid train. Jessican has two of her own so don't let the fact that I am sitting on her lap deceive you. I love these girls for so many reasons. We do a lot together and watching them with their kids sets such an amazing example for me to follow when that day comes.
These boys have been friends since middle school

Spring fever and celebrations

Easter with the nieces and nephews. I love every single one of them. I was sitting Tayia's candy and by she walked over and grabbed her basket. She is way too smart.
We ate and played volleyball outside. 2 years ago on Easter I met Josh's whole family for the first time. I feel so lucky to be apart of their family. For easter we all go search for our own egg. Everyone gets 5 bucks and candy. I'm just glad I wasn't the last one to find theirs this time.

I am so embarrassed but there is no hiding it now. My friend Tasia and I went to a boxing class at 6 am one morning just for the heck of it. We pulled up and noticed that the news was there to film. What a disaster! We made an effort to stand in the back but as luck would have it they came up and interviewed me during the class. If anyone knows me well they know I CAN'T multi task to save my life. I didn't know whether to stop and talk or do both. The news on the other end mentioned to they guy interviewing me that if I were to hit him in the abs it probably wouldn't hurt. They said my punch looked weak.....I'll show you weak sauce! Rude. haha thats what I get for trying to multi task.

This year was the last year my sister will be a Cougarette. They compete in Daytona Beach every year and I didn't want to miss it. I tried to get Josh to book a flight with me and he kept putting it off because of work. Call me rude but I was going with or without him. I kept begging him to go but he told me he had to work because the other pharmacist had a family reunion. So I flew out after a work trip from San Fran to Florida. I arrived at the airport with Olivias boyfriend and my parents were there to pick us up. To my surprise Josh was in the front seat of the car!!! I screamed out loud and I assume everyone thought someone got shot. Josh is such a weasel and loves throwing me off. He got me this time and I am so happy he came.

Off we drove from Orlando to Daytona...my mom, dad, Will and Josh to Daytona Beach. Will shared a hotel room with Josh and I; poor guy. ha Us 3 had a ton of time to bond. This trip consisted of a lot of eating and dance. The Cougarettes did amazing and took 1st place in the open dance division and 1st place in Hip Hop. They sweeped it!
Big How and Josh posing for the camera.... Josh trying to make fun of tools who carry around water jugs at the gym and my dad showing off his favorite ice cream.
Karebear trying to be funny pretending like she is going to buy beer. My dad tried to attack me as I was taking the picture. He was so embarrassed.

Thing 1 and Thing 2. Such good sports!
Headed to the outlets listening to my dads terrible taste in music
and for one of the best parts of the trip.......OLIVIA and WILL got ENGAGED!!!

We could tell the whole trip that Olivia was hoping he would propose in Daytona. She would always ask us what we were doing each night and Saturday she wanted to get her nails done. Saturday everyone celebrated at Olive Garden.
Saturday being the last night; we dropped her off at her hotel and her whole demeanor changed. You could tell she was bummed out nothing every happened. We had her right where we wanted her.

We ran back to the hotel and made the glow stick sign. Her coach was in on it with us. After the Cougarettes had their devotional Jodi told Olivia to stay and she talked with her about a couple of things. Olivia then walked out onto the balcony and saw Will on the sand with the Marry Me sign glowing on the beach. We were hiding and watched her ran out to meet him on the beach. It was such a special moment for the both of them. A not so great moment was when Josh yelled to drop to the floor so she wouldn't see us and my camera dropped.

It took pictures of their magical moment and then decided to stop working after it was all over. Talk about LUCKY.  All of her Cougarette friends were witnessing this take place on their balcony and everyone was cheering. It then became a celebration party on the beach. More pics to come on Facebook.

I am so happy for my baby sister. Her and Will have known each other for 6 years. They are a match made in heaven and I am so glad Will is being added into the family. I couldn't ask for a better brother in law. They are joining the married club! Can't wait to have Olivia teach me how to cook.

Our last day we walked around Downtown Disney and couldn't pass up getting shakes.

These last couple of months have been pretty eventful. A lot of traveling for pleasure and traveling for work. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family!
