Family and planes

I love these 2 girls I work with. We call ourselves the 3 musketeers. Becca and I went to support Annie at her game. She plays on the Real Women's Soccer team.

Since Feb I have been traveling a lot for work. The months of May and June were almost more than I could handle. I was gone for 4 weeks straight with a few days to come home and re pack for the next city. Josh now knows what it is like to be a bachelor. This is why I tried to mix business with vacation as much as I could.
We had a huge event Retail event in Chicago that consumed most of my time. I was so happy everything ran smoothly. Oh wait...no it didn't. Why would it? Our 10x20 booth was dropped by Union and the glass panels cracked. With no time to waste we worked with what we had.
After this event I was able to fly to LA for a tour event. I love these tour events because it consists of food and baseball.

I stayed in Anaheim because Josh and his parents planned to meet me out there for the weekend. I had to drive from Anaheim to downtown LA for this event. It was my first time renting a car. Eeek. Anyways, naturally I went with the Camaro. Bad idea. You can't see out of the back windows. Its as if someone dropped a crane on this car and thought it would be cool do feel crushed. The trunk could fit a backpack if your lucky.
So glad the Newbold joined the party for the weekend. We ate out, went to the beach and attended 2 Angels vs Yankees baseball games. Josh and Ray were in heaven!
This trip was so much fun. I feel so lucky to have an amazing mother and father in law. They have the biggest hearts and are a hoot to travel with. Merlynn and I are planners and are always anxious to be on the go. Ray and Josh could sit and watch golf in the hotel room and been content.

Sunday was Fathers day. I gave my dad a Domo biking jersey. This picture says it all.
He would KILL me if he knew I put this up. But it has to be the best facial expression I've ever seen. I think he was just thrilled that it was the wrong size. My bad.
The next day we threw a surprise birthday party for my mom's 50th birthday party.

Olivia is so crafty. I don't know how I missed out on the gene....is that even a gene?

My contribution was setting up. That's about as crafty as you'll get out of me.

Washington D.C.

I finally got to see D.C. for the first time. I traveled there for work and decided to stay the rest of the weekend to see the city. Josh flew out to meet me and we stayed with his aunt and uncle who live out there. I could not believe how gorgeous it was. The sites brought so much meaning and I learned more this weekend than all of high school. My questions about certain wars and icon figures probably worried Josh. ha I knew I should have paid more attention in school.

Major update

It's been a while since I have posted anything. I can't believe we are already at the end of May. Josh and I have been really busy the last couple of months. We are loving our new place and our new ward. We just got called as CTR 8 primary teachers. Should be entertaining! Our ward is on top of it. We love it though and feel very fortunate to be surrounded by so many great people.

I have traveling for work a lot and feel like I live on an airplane. One stop was in Denver for the Domo 20/20 Tour.
Next was Chicago for MES and a Tour event...

We enjoyed another road trip to St. George with our friends!

Our obsession with Swig sugar cookies got the best of us.

At work the theme was May the 4th (force) be with you. Getting creative I guess. I will take any day to celebrate a made up Holiday if it means dressing up and watching Star Trek during work.

Got to spend lunch with my family while Josh was out of town for work.

Josh is still loving his job and we both feel very fortunate to work in environments that we love. Josh has been busy doing Pharmacy part time and selling alarms here and there when he has free time. Josh also got a sweet opportunity to be the pharmacist to write curriculum in textbooks for an upcoming online college.

We love getting together with friends and are lucky we all live so close to each other. We had a BBQ the other night and it was bring your own meat. Josh brought me this lovely piece of meat and I shortly realized it was just for me to eat. He made another the same size for himself. I mean I know I eat a lot but REALLY?!
After we ate we roasted mallows by the fire
I am obviously the only one behind on the kid train. Jessican has two of her own so don't let the fact that I am sitting on her lap deceive you. I love these girls for so many reasons. We do a lot together and watching them with their kids sets such an amazing example for me to follow when that day comes.
These boys have been friends since middle school
