After living in Omaha for one month we decided to move to Seattle. I was so excited to hear we were going there for the next couple of months. I have always wanted to live in Seattle because of how gorgeous and green it is.
Josh asked me if my luggage got bigger....
He reminded me that when we got back to Utah I needed to get rid of half my stuff. Too many clothes (my bad)
We took the weekend off and went to St. George with a ton of our friends. It was way fun to get everyone together. We went to go see Brian Regan our first night there. He was hilarious!
The next couple of days we just enjoyed the pool, BBQ, snow cones and the sun. Notice Josh laying out on the lawn chair; trying to get rid of that farmers tan. Mallory said that when he came to lay out he said in a girl like voice, "Alright girls, so what's the latest gossip? Do you think I should do my hair like this or what?"
That is so Josh to try and make fun of us!
Saturday night we drove back to SLC, Utah for my sister Isabelle's mission farewell. It also just happened to be Mother's day. Talk about an eventful day for my family. Josh and I slept at my parents which made my parents so happy. They went and bought a brand new bed for the guest room and put a picture of us in there to make us feel at home. It was so good to see my family and be back home for a little bit. Isabelle did an amazing job on her farewell talk. Her story and spirit filled the room; she had me in tears. I am so proud of her desire to serve and the type of person she is. After the farewell everyone came to our house for a brunch. I ate everything on the table; not surprising. We also celebrated Mother's day! My mom is one of my best friends. She truly is the most selfless person I know.
Happy Mother's Day
This was at CPK right before we dropped her off....bittersweet day
The car ride home was quiet and filled with a lot of tears. I hope this year and a half goes by fast.
Monday came and Josh ran errands while I watched Claire (Josh's niece). She is the best
I spent the day teaching Bingham High School a hip hop routine I choreographed for them. It was a productive day but ended sadly when I had to say goodbye to Josh. He went to get a head start in Seattle and drove all of our stuff there. Josh and I thought it would be important for me to stay home so that I could see Isabelle off at the MTC and spend some time with my family for a couple more days. I will fly out on Saturday to join him and I can't wait!
Wednesday we dropped Isabelle off at the MTC. It was like Disneyland but not as exciting. They shuttle you through and you drop them off then follow the flags out. Our drive home we all stared out the window. Later I went to go get my hair done. Josh has always thought it would be fun to see me with dark hair so I surprised him and did it without him knowing. It only took 4 1/2 hours;way too long
Once I got home my dad could not stop laughing. He thought it was hilarious. My brothers also informed me that I looked prettier blonde. Good times!
That night sleeping without Isabelle was really hard. We all miss her a lot. This morning my mom and I went to Yoga and dropped off a package for Isabelle. We ate some lunch and then I went shopping with Josh's sister Carlye. We went to a couple of consignment stores trying to find some bargains. It was a lot of fun! My mom and I went to pick up my Grandma Joyce for dinner. That woman cracks me up. We went to an Italian place called Vinto that I am obsessed with. The food is so fresh and you can't go wrong with anything you get. We finished the night off by doing a little shopping for a large price at lululemon! Thank you...
Friday I went to lunch with my friends Lu and Cherese! We all lived together in College and have stayed close friends ever since
Scooter ride to REI with my dad=bliss
My family and I went to Mikado to celebrate my birthday early. Saturday morning I woke up at 7 am to go on a bike ride with my dad. We ended up going all the way up to the Capitol and stopped at a cafe on our way back for daddy/daughter breakfast. It was nice to spend some quality time with my dad. He loves to exercise and I know it means a lot to him when we go with him. He is trying to get me to do a marathon with him this October but I nicely declined. I did a marathon last year and that was enough for me. I was hoping that by going on this bike ride with him it would make up for it ha

Once I packed for Seattle my parents and I went to the Soup Kitchen for lunch. You have probably noticed by now that my family loves to go out to eat. My dad complains about how much I talk about food but it's his own fault. Our next stop was the airport...yay! Josh picked me up and was shocked when he saw my hair. He had the biggest grin on his face! I am so glad he liked it because he is the only person whose opinion really matters. We drove straight to a Mexican place to eat and did our ritual routine at Walmart....treats for Sunday. Being back in Seattle with Josh is so nice; I've missed him a lot.
