Happy Halloween

Our Halloween party at Domo was quite the experience. Every department had to replicate a music video and perform it in front of the company. As a Marketing department we decided to do the "Worst music video ever". (literally, the worst) Becca and I learned the moves and taught everyone the dance. We were ready to blow everyone away.
We had 13 people from Marketing perform. Annie and Mark played their roles perfectly. They looked identical to the couple in the video. We did a rendition of this "Swedish video" and remixed it into Michael Jackson, "Beat it".

Our grand prize! (Much deserved I might say)
The CEO of Domo, Josh James and his crew, performed the Gangnam music video. You know that popular music video that the radio over plays...ya that one. Unfortunately, it is catchy. I admit they hit a home run with this one.
(yes he hired "little people" just for this performance)

As for the sales department....um the second they walked on stage and started performing I immediately felt ill. I didn't know whether to laugh or continue feeling really uncomfortable. ha They performed to an old school workout video. Instead of even trying to explain I will show you. Warning: This image is R rated.
AWKWARD
(the other half of their group wore leotards, tights and heels....men not women. No SHAME)

Halloween night we spent with my family. It was fun to get together and eat clam chowder. My mom went all out this year and passed out churros to all the trick-or-treaters. You can imagine why I chose her house to trick or treat at.

A good picture of how normal we all are....

My addiction is the famous 'dirty diet coke'
Jensens outfit was very fitting

Tis the season to get Hitched

We had a wedding October 25, wedding dinner the 26th, and another wedding the 27th. I felt like I got dressed for church everyday this week! Not saying that's a bad thing. Josh's two good friends both were married the same week. It was so fun to get together and see everyone.

Tiff and Jim were married Thursday
Tiff is the biggest sweetheart. I have grown really close with her and I am so happy for both of them.

After their reception we ran to Josh's flag football game. He plays with one of my best friends husbands. He just joined their team. I was so excited to go watch him play. I didn't ever know Josh in high school so I've never seen him play basketball or football. This was the first time I had ever seen him in action.

Next wedding up was Sarai and Dustin (Dubs)
They were married Saturday. Sarai is always so happy. Her and Dubs are so much fun.
This is Josh mopping up after their wedding dinner Friday night. Doesn't he look good with a mop?!
The studly man in the white shirt had his first baby this week with his cute wife Jessica. I was able to go see her as well. So many changes are happening with all of Josh's friends.

This week was pretty eventful to say the least. It was so special to be able to attend 2 temple sealings. The words they spoke were so powerful. I loved being able to reflect on the covenants that Josh and I made now almost 8 months ago. That day was the best day of our lives. I look at where we are now and have to just smile. Marriage is such a blessing. The temple is so special and the spirit that is there is powerful. I'm so happy for both couples that were able to experience that this week.

Orlando work trip

I got to go to Orlando for work which I was really excited about. We did a conference there for the Gartner Symposium Monday through Thursday. There were two of us from Marketing and two people from sales. We were able to get a lot of scans and have great conversations throughout the day.
Lucky to be surrounded by such fun people. Go DOMO

Our first night after the exhibition hours we all went to play miniature golf. Dan and I were up and then Kaulana aka the guy making that weird face in the picture, lucked out with 2 hole in ones. That was the game...

Pretty view of the boardwalk and yummy pizza for lunch

Scott and Dan walked out of their hotel room and shortly realized they were matching
(why not pretend to be gay)
My favorite night was when Gartner shut down Universal Studios for everyone attending the conference. We got to go on the Tower of terror, Rock 'n' Roll rollercoaster, Toy story, and Star Wars over and over again. Don't let me forget to mention that all the concession stands of food were FREE. I helped myself to cotton candy, a chocolate banana, brownies, pretzel, and popcorn. SUCCESS

I love my job.....The END

Josh's obsession

Josh went golfing with his brother-in-laws last week. After they played 18 holes Josh and Kirk decided to go sneak into a pond and fetch as many golf balls as they could before they got caught. Josh just bought a range pass for the year. I guess this was his way of "saving" money and fetching balls to practice with.

95 balls TOTAL...so proud

Josh's other obsession as well as mine...is our townhouse. Josh goes there just about everyday to see the progress. I love how excited he gets. It really will be so nice to have a place of our own soon.

Some more pics after only 1 week

Look whose in town!

Kaley came in town from Florida to visit. I felt like it was Christmas morning. Not having her here in Utah has been so sad. I always tell Kaley that she is "one of a kind". 2 years ago we met and were instantly attached at the hip. She is one of the best friends anyone could ask for. I admire who she is as a person. She lights up a room and makes me laugh so hard. One of the nights we went to dinner and talked forever. We did some bargain shopping and got our nails done.

Saturday Sadi, Kaley and I went up to Park City to do the alpine slide. The leaves were gorgeous and the weather wasn't too cold....even though my nose looks like a could guide Santa's sleigh.

Somehow we weaseled our way around getting a free coaster ride.
My parents and brothers were staying the weekend up at the Canyons resort so we met them for dinner. Later we roasted marshmallows at the Montage hotel and enjoyed some free hot chocolate. I was stoked that they had peppermint flavored marshmallow. I can die happy.

I didn't want this night to end.

Dates with friends

Two of my friends are getting married the same week. I was able to go to each of their bachelorette parties. Here are some photos from each.

Bread bowls were made into boobies and soups were give dirty names. I really hope nobody under 18 years of age is reading this.

The party was a lot of fun. Everything was decorated in such a "creative" way.  Josh actually went to bachelor party that same night. After I sent him a picture some of the hilarious display items at the party he sent me a video back. It was of all the guys at the bachelor party climbing on a ledge and free falling off. Below was a huge group of guys catching everyone. Enough said...The difference in how men and women party. haha

I asked Josh to go on a triple date with my grandma and mom to watch Olivia perform in the Homecoming Spectacular. Later I found out Josh was giving up watching the Yankees baseball game. What a good sport! He may or may not have been watching the score on his phone during the concert. Olivia did an amazing job! My grandma walked around like a drunk. I don't even want to know how she would be if she actually did drink. She is the most entertaining lady I have ever met. We ran into 2 zoobies making out forever in the lobby. They walked 5 feet and went at it again. Naturally I yelled out, "Get some". (they still kept at it) The best part is when he started to sing Phantom of the Opera to her (dead serious). I couldn't take it anymore. Next thing you know my grandma walks right in the middle of them and acts like she is lost. She told him he had a beautiful voice and asked if they needed a breathe of fresh air. Doesn't get much better than that!

Friday we got together with some of my best friends from Cougarettes and their husbands for dinner, pumpkin carving and games. This was the first time I had ever carved a pumpkin. Seeing my friends was such a blast. I am so grateful for the friendships I made on Cougarettes. These are the type of friendships that will be there for the rest of your life. This is how we feel when we see each other.

CARVING PUMPKINS

Josh and I went to the BYU game and enjoyed our first Cougar tail. Afterwards we met up with a bunch of our friends for tacos. They are all such good moms and most importantly friends. I hope I can do half as many crafts and activities as they do when I have kids one day. ha

Vacation/Conference/Love

Last weekend we went to St Geezy with a bunch of couples. Did our best to get a nice tan! Checked out Swiss Days in Santa Clara. Never go!! Complete disaster and nothing like the one in Utah. That aside we enjoyed relaxing and went to Swig for a dirty diet and sugar cookie everyday. Still not regretting that decision. My husband doesn't and never has liked taking pictures. So the ones you see with him in them is a big deal. He will thank me one day.

Sadi and I enjoying sun

This last week Josh and I keep driving past our place to see how it's coming along. I love that we go back to back thinking there will be drastic progress after 24 hours. Its obvious we are overly anxious to have a place of our own. We are hoping it will be done end of November!

Work is picking up and I have been planning a lot of events for Domo to attend. Luckily Friday was a slow day so some of us went to Happy Sumo and Malawis for dessert. My kind of Friday.

Friday night Josh and I doubled with his parents and ate at CPK. It's our signature place to go...besides Texas Roadhouse.

Good food and good company

Later we hit up the BYU football game. We went to our seats and Santa happened to be sitting
right next to our seats. I thought Christmas wasn't until December. Crap I hope I've been good. k Stupid anyways the point is that Josh asked me which side I wanted to sit on...my options were his parents or Santa. Awkward pause....(was that even a question)  Did he really think I wanted to be crammed next to Santa the whole game? The seats were crammed enough as it was. Well if you are wondering, I took one for the team and sat next my white bearded friend. He had a ton of snacks in his sweatshirt
pouch; I thought I maybe would get lucky and he would share ;) Nope no luck. I have been craving his Good and Plenty candy ever since.

Saturday I went up to Daybreak and ran 6 miles. It is gorgeous up there. I have learned that I am obsessed with scenery and looking at homes. Must have gotten it from Howard.

Josh went golfing Saturday with his brother in law Kirk. They spent most of the morning and afternoon together. With all this golf Josh is doing I am hoping a PGA tour is in his future. Ha he definitely is getting the most out of his month pass. Sadly it ends Tuesday. Sorry babe.

Spent the afternoon trying to find cleaning toilets somewhat fathomable. Just singing to Pandora. Josh's mom was raised washing toilets with a washcloth. Not this girl; toilet brush all the way. Gross!

If you are thinking that I should be embarrassed for taking a picture of myself then you are absolutely right. I totally am. We all have our moments. I always find ways to entertain myself. Josh jokes that he is always worried when we go on road trips because he wants me to have fun and thinks I constantly need to be entertained. Well this picture should convince him that I can entertain myself.

There is nothing like conference weekend. All the girls got together during priesthood session and ordered Olive Garden take out. The kids ran around as if they were all on a sugar high. I am very excited to have kids someday but as for now i can definitely wait. ;) After everyone left, Josh's mom and I went to get hot chocolate and doughnuts. We both love treats.

Sunday I made homemade cinnamon rolls for the morning session of conference. I told josh to sit back and relax. Next thing you know this is what I see out of the corner of my eye. CLASSIC picture.
I hope he was able to find Waldo.

In between sessions Josh and I went on a walk. I don't mean to get mushy on here but there are many moments when I sit back and wonder how I got so lucky. Why he chose me? I am so grateful for how patient he is with me and for his unconditional love and example. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am not professing that life is a fairy tale and what we have is any better than anyone else. Ive actually never understood why people try to convince others that what they have is pure bliss. Maybe its because everyone is trying to keep up with what people portray to be "perfect" through instagram and facebook. People....Marriage isn't and wasn't intended to be perfect.

I have learned so much about life and love. Love is special because you always have someone by your side. I can be emotional and do things that I am sure annoy the crap out of him and yet we forgive and try to be better the next day. It's through experiences in life that you grow as a couple. Life is such a fun journey, especially when you get to share it with an amazing spouse. You adapt, meet in the middle and fall more in love everyday. It's such a beautiful thing.
I loved conference and look forward to it. I felt that the overall theme was to strengthen your testimony and serve others. See the potential that Heavenly Father sees in others. Family is the most important thing in the life and serving Heavenly Fathers children.

Russel Ballard: SERVICE. Are we truly converted to the gospel of Christ. Not just going through the motions.  Live what we profess to believe. Be humble, meek and live with the Holy Ghost as a constant companion. In your morning prayer ask heavenly father to guide you to serve one of his children. Look for someone to help. He answers people prayers through someone else.
